When conference centers and hotel meeting rooms supply chairs, they usually are set up specifically for the size of group that will be attending the session. These chairs usually are more comfortable than generic chairs so that guests will be more comfortable. The chairs may be padded or upholstered; fabric used for the padding usually has better cleaning options.

You can purchase or rent chairs in almost any color so that they blend with the hues and the decor of the meeting or banquet hall. Realistically, chairs that will be used in high traffic areas are likely to be produced in darker or patterned fabrics so that they aren\’t as likely to show spills and soil. Plastic chairs have fewer color choices available, but are simpler to wipe down. They are noisier than upholstered seating.

The best quality chairs that have upholstered seats can be recovered to eliminate signs of wear. The chair legs selected for areas where they will be moved around by the patron may have roller wheels that are large enough to avoid excessive wear on the floor covering. Other styles of chairs that are more like those found in a home dining room can use glider pads to make moving around easier.

The frame of the chair can be available in almost any size, color, material or design. Wood frames are popular in upscale designs that feature upholstery. Wooden chairs without the benefit of padding or upholstery may be less comfortable than padded styles, but reflect excellent taste and design sense.

Metal chair legs are very durable and can be used in locations where there will be lots of use. Chairs with metal legs and frames can weigh more than chairs constructed of vinyl or plastic materials. If chairs are to be used outdoors, the construction material is important so that there is not the possibility of rust, mildew, moisture or dampness damage.

Banqueting chairs that are rented must be more utilitarian in most instances. These pieces of furniture not only have the usage during a banquet or other gathering, they have the wear and tear of getting them to and from the banquet site. For those responsible for setting up and tearing down banquet facilities, lightweight and easily cleaned furniture is preferred.
